Online: 404 Xbox Port Plans

Cornfield Games has stated that it plans to bring Online: 404 to Xbox after the PC release. The relevant developer reply was posted on May 28, 2026. It establishes a port intention, rather than a confirmed Xbox launch date or a specific console edition.

The developer’s direct answer

A player asked about console ports and crossplay in the Steam discussion linked below. CG Team replied that PlayStation and Xbox ports were planned after the PC release. This direct answer is stronger evidence of the developer’s intention than a third-party platform summary.

The reply also gave a tentative late-2026 or early-2027 estimate. That estimate belongs to a dated development statement and is not a firm release commitment. The present-tense answer should therefore emphasize the port plan without turning the estimate into a scheduled Xbox launch.

The current launch listing is for PC

The official Steam product page describes the Windows PC release. Gamepressure likewise lists PC Windows for the main launch. That PC listing is consistent with the developer’s description of console versions following the PC release.

A PC-first release and an intention to port are compatible facts. The lack of an Xbox purchase offer in the collected material does not cancel the developer’s statement. Equally, the statement alone does not establish that an Xbox edition is already available.

Why some articles give a different answer

The collected iGame overview says that no console versions have been announced. That wording conflicts with the direct CG Team reply about planned Xbox and PlayStation ports. For the existence of a port intention, this article follows the primary developer statement.

The difference is between a plan and a finished platform launch announcement. A short third-party platform list may describe only the currently listed PC product. It should not be expanded into a claim that the developer has never discussed consoles.

What the statement actually establishes

The developer names Xbox as a destination and puts the port after PC. The reply does not identify a particular Xbox generation or provide a separate edition name. It also does not provide a Game Pass commitment.

Although the original question mentions crossplay, the answer only addresses port intentions and estimated timing. It does not explicitly confirm cross-platform multiplayer. A planned console version should not be treated as proof of a shared PC-and-Xbox session.

Follow the platform statement at its source

The Steam discussion is linked below so the developer answer can be read in context. The official store provides the separate PC release information. Keeping those two sources distinct avoids confusing the main launch schedule with the later port plan.

This article records the evidence available in the October 15 research. The related PlayStation and Steam pages cover their own platform questions. No Xbox date, console specification or subscription offer is inferred from the PC listing.
