Online: 404 PS5 & PlayStation Plans

Cornfield Games has announced an intention to port Online: 404 to PlayStation after PC. Its May 28 reply says PlayStation without identifying PS5 or PS4. The collected evidence therefore supports a PlayStation plan, rather than a confirmed PS5 edition or release date.

What Cornfield Games said about PlayStation

The developer answered a console-port question in the game’s Steam community. CG Team named PlayStation and Xbox as planned destinations after PC. This provides direct evidence that console versions have been considered in the developer’s stated plans.

The reply estimated late 2026 or early 2027 at that time. Because it was an estimate, it should not be converted into a fixed launch date. The important verified point is the intention to follow the PC release with console ports.

PlayStation is broader than a PS5 listing

The reply does not name a specific PlayStation generation. It also does not link a PlayStation Store edition in the collected material. Describing it as a confirmed PS5 product would add detail beyond the developer’s actual words.

That distinction answers the search question without erasing the console plan. There is a documented PlayStation intention, while the PS5-specific product details are not established here. A generic platform-family statement and an edition announcement are different pieces of information.

How the PC release fits the plan

The current official launch listing is on Steam for Windows PC. Gamepressure corroborates the PC Windows platform. These references establish the launch product and agree with the developer’s PC-first sequencing.

The planned October 16 Steam Early Access date belongs to that PC release. It is not a PS5 launch date. Reading the date alongside the correct platform prevents the most common confusion between the main game schedule and console intentions.

Crossplay needs its own answer

The Steam thread’s original question asks about both ports and crossplay. The developer’s reply confirms port intentions but gives no explicit crossplay commitment. The answer should be read for what it actually addresses.

Four-player co-op on the PC game does not by itself establish cross-platform sessions. Neither does the existence of a future console plan. The multiplayer article explains the supported player-count information separately from platform compatibility.

Use the primary platform source

The linked CG Team reply is the primary evidence for PlayStation plans. A third-party statement that no console versions have ever been discussed conflicts with that evidence. The Steam store remains useful for the current PC listing, rather than as a substitute for a console edition page.

This page is based on the October 15 research record. It does not turn an older estimate into a new announcement. The Xbox article covers the other console destination named in the same developer reply.
