The score on October 22

On October 22, 2026, the Steam listing showed a Mixed rating from 160 user reviews. Exactly half of those reviews were positive. Early ratings move quickly, so check the live listing for the current figure.

Most of the visible reviews came from short sessions. Helpful launch-day reviews listed playtimes from under half an hour to almost eight hours. Treat them as first impressions rather than a verdict on the full game.

What players praise

The in-game smartphone is the most praised feature. One reviewer called the use of the phone to research things amazing. That matches the developer’s design of survival knowledge found through a fictional internet.

Several reviewers point out that the game was built by two people. They describe the developers as responsive to feedback. Others say the price is low for the amount of content already included.

What players criticise

Bugs are the most common complaint. Reviewers mention animation problems, weapons that fail to draw and object placement issues. Even positive reviews admit the game has some bugs at the moment.

Combat draws its own criticism. Zombies are described as approaching without warning sounds, and some players miss a basic punch. Other reviews report FPS drops and stuttering, while one objects to AI-generated art that it says was not disclosed.

Should you buy now or wait?

Steam itself warns that Early Access players may still meet bugs and other issues. If you enjoy testing a game as it develops, the introductory discount until November 4 lowers the entry cost. If you want a polished build, waiting for patches is reasonable.

Compare your PC with the listed requirements before buying, since performance is a recurring complaint. Some reviewers say the early build still feels thin on content. The early access article explains what the developers plan to add before version 1.0.
