Where the official invite comes from

The Online: 404 Steam listing links to the Discord invite discord.gg/gaDVkZMTPS. When opened on October 18, 2026, the invite page named the server “Online:404.” A link that appears on the developer’s own store page is the most reliable way to confirm a server is official.

Cornfield Games is a two-person studio, so there is no separate publisher community to confuse with it. Fan-run servers and copied invites can still appear in search results and video descriptions. Compare any invite you find with the one on the Steam page before joining.

Why the developers point players to Discord

The “Where is the game?” announcement explains the delayed Early Access launch and suggests joining the Discord for more details. Short updates are easier for a small team to post there than full Steam announcements. During the wait for Steam’s approval, Discord is likely to be where news appears first.

Steam remains the place where the game itself will go live. The store page will show the purchase option once the release is approved. Discord is a place for updates and conversation, not a separate download source.

How Online: 404 key giveaways have worked

The same delay announcement says the team is giving away some keys on Discord. The developers did not publish a fixed number of keys or a schedule in that post. Check the server’s announcement channels for the current rules rather than relying on second-hand summaries.

An earlier giveaway shows how keys were handled before. After the summer Bug Hunting Event, the winner list grew from 5 to 16, including 4 Discord contributors in a special category. Winners were contacted through Steam or Discord direct messages, and each key could be activated once.

Those event keys could be added to a Steam library before launch. The game would only become downloadable after release. A key received before launch therefore does not mean the game can be played early.

Staying safe with invites and keys

Giveaways attract imitators, so treat unexpected messages with care. A genuine Steam key is redeemed in the Steam client and should not require your password on another website. Be cautious with any message that asks for login details or payment to claim a prize.

When in doubt, return to the official store page and open the Discord link from there. Server announcements from the developers are more reliable than private messages from accounts you do not recognize. This page does not reproduce any key codes, and none were verified for publication.

Bug reports, feedback and the wider community

The Steam Early Access FAQ asks players to report bugs through the in-game pause menu. That route reaches the developers with the context of the build you are playing. Discord discussion is useful, but it does not replace the in-game report the developers asked for.

The Steam community discussions board is another public place to ask questions. The developers have answered platform and gameplay questions there in the past, including the console-port reply covered in the Xbox article. Use whichever channel fits the question, but rely on official posts for dates and facts.
